Canada has called Tyler Hemming of the Charleston Battery up for its pre Gold Cup friendlies.

Steve Goff recaps a lackluster night at RFK but reports Bobby Convey may be on the trading block! Serves the Quakes right for signing a malcontent who based on what I’ve been told still behaves like he was 16, ironically the age he was when signing for DC United.

Adam Soucie has a promotion/relegation idea that is very different than my colleague Daniel Feuerstein’s. Both ideas are radically different with this one being played out completely within MLS and the Feuerstein one incorporating USL’s pyramid in the structure. You decide which one you like better but we know which one Don Garber likes bette!

Updated Attendance figures from MLS Daily. In defense of DAllas, that 9,500 in Frisco yesterday was alot more active than the alleged 14,000 at Giants Stadium last week. It reminds me of the Fusion days when our 8,000 at Lockhart would have more of an influence on the match than the claimed 14,000 in Foxbrough.

As I teased on the site yesterday, the PDL is coming to Fort Lauderdale next year. A PDL side will probably have better long term player prospects than Miami FC, with all the football talent that comes out of this area. (Jozy Altidore, Stefan Jerome, Nate Sturgis, Brian Arguez and Dax McCarty are the latest somewhat big names from the area). Heck, they may even be more competitive than Miami FC has been the past few seasons.
