Today in US National Team History

The US played New Zealand in the final friendly before leaving for France and the Confederations Cup. The US fielded an experimental lineup and struggled to a 2-1 victory over a game New Zealand side that featured several American based footballers- MLS, A-League (now USL-1) and even one college soccer player. The match was played at the University of Richmond Stadium.
