Gold Cup Nightly: Group B Matchday 3

Honduras 4-0 Grenada

The Honduran “B” team showed some real quality tonight on the turf at Gillete Stadium. But Grenada fought hard despite the scoreline, creating several good chances in the match and unluckily not finishing a single chance. The Spice Boyz will be disappointed by the results in this their first international tournament but can take pride in how they played. The Honduran midfield was sold throughout the match and thanks to Stuart Holden’s late strike for the USA, the Hondurans finish second in Group B. Haiti, despite their disapointment tonight in stoppage time has also secured passage with four points and will be seeded ahead of Costa Rica on goal difference. Haiti cannot face the USA in the next stage so will face either Canada or the Group C winner.

USA 2-2 Haiti
