Finally underway here. Peru’s side is basically a youth team, as the last place COMNEBOL qualifying finishers want to rebuild in time for the Copa America in 2011.

Through 20 minutes, the best chance was from Walter Martinez of Honduras who just put a head wide. In minute 28, Martinez puts a  shot over the net.

In minute 24th David Suazo and the Peruvuain GK collide.

In minute 40, own goal scored for Peru by Emilo Izaguiire of Honduras after a cross by Damoin Ismodes.

David Suazo with a world class crossover and shot that is saved in minute 45. Former FC Dallas midfielder Ramon Nunez replaces Wigan’s Hendry Thomas in first half stoppage time.

Honduras gets a goal from David Suazo in minute 47 after a great through ball from Ramon Nunez.

In minute 65, Ismades crosses for Torres and results in a Peru goal.

Honduras has made a number of changes and seems fine playing the match out. Carlos Costly in particular seems content to pick his spots going forward.
